Little Rock police say a road rage incident led to a three-year-old being shot in Little Rock Saturday night.
Officers say the shooting happened near Warren and Mablevale Cutoff in southwest Little Rock. The grandmother of the victim was driving to JC Penney at Shackleford Crossing Shopping Center and noticed her grandson was shot after arriving at the store around 6:25 p.m.
Authorities believe the grandmother and three-year-old are innocent victims and have no relationship with the suspect.
Little Rock Police Chief Kenton Buckner was also on scene Saturday. He says the shooting is a senseless act of violence.
“I certainly have no information to say that anyone in this family has done anything to cause this young person’s life but this is about as frustrating as you can be as a public safety official or just a plain citizen,” says Buckner.
