Mitch Gray was raised on music. From family gatherings in his grandparents home to listening to his dad and uncle’s bluegrass band, music was always present. Mitch began singing at a very early age while worshiping in church. During his early teen years he learned to lead singing at that very church and continued to lead worship into his adult life. Mitch grew up singing mostly acappella music so learning to write music while a teenager was based on harmony and creativity. This same harmony and creativity continued as Mitch learned to play multiple instruments and develop new music.

At 12 years old Mitch began writing poetry that has continued to influence his writing. This passion for poetry allowed Mitch the space needed to reflect on life. This reflection lead to many things, one being the album ‘Carry me.’ Carry Me is inspired from the failures, scars and redemption that seems to be experienced throughout humanity. Combining the influences of bluegrass, blues, gospel, reggae, rock, and folk, Mitch has taken his story telling and balanced it with music that is powerful and inspiring. Music that will make you smile, wonder, and dance.’
