A Roscoe man was airlifted to University Medical Center in Lubbock Monday after being struck in the face by a hydraulic jack.
According to Roscoe Fire Chief Gary Armstrong, the driver was following behind an 18-wheeler when a hydraulic jack flew off the trailer and went through his windshield.
The heavy-duty jack hit the driver in the face and sliced his face open from chin to ear.
There was no word on the victim’s condition as of Tuesday morning.
