On Saturday, May 6, Running2Rescue is inviting the community to join their annual 5K, 10K and one mile family run to help raise awareness for victims of sex trafficking in Lubbock.
This year’s race will take place at Mackenzie Park. A pre-run warm up will begin at 8 a.m.
Last year’s event hosted 1,500 participants and raised over $121,000, a goal the group hopes to surpass this year.
All proceeds benefit the OneVoiceHome (OVH), a local nonprofit working to build a shelter in West Texas that will restore underage girls rescued from sex trafficking.
