A long standing holiday tradition continued Saturday morning for residents in Slaton with the annual “Santa Red and Blue” program.
“Santa Red and Blue” provides a Christmas meal to 40 seniors and 80 families in Slaton.
Volunteers gathered Saturday morning to deliver the meal to a recipient’s home.
The program costs approximately $6000 on average a year. The program is fully funded by donations from the community.
“Santa Red and Blue” is an effort of the Slaton Volunteer Fire Department, Slaton Police Department and the Emergency Medical Services – Slaton Division.
