Family and friends of Jeffrey Hargrove, 33, passed out flyers as police continued to search for the missing Texas Tech student.

Hargrove was reported missing to Lubbock Police on Monday, by his mother. She told LPD she last heard from him Saturday night.

“We’re hoping for the best. It has been so traumatic. Biggest nightmare of my life,” said Hargrove’s mother, Diane Barrs.

The Florida family has spent several days in Lubbock, looking for Hargrove.

“For Jeff to do this is so unlike him. He would never do it,” she explained.

Hargrove’s brother, Danny, was among those who walked around, handing out flyers to the public.

“We’re going around the creeks the lakes the wooded areas, even putting up flyers by any businesses that you pass,” he said.

“I just want him to come home. It’s been four days. He hasn’t been seen anywhere,” he said about his older brother. “We have no idea what happened to him and we need the community’s help in finding him.”

“We miss him and we love him and we want him to come home,” said Tess Bauer, a friend of his for 20 years.

Hargrove’s mother, begging him to contact a family member.

“I can’t eat, can’t sleep, the whole family is a wreck. Just have to come home and we need to find you,” Barrs said in an emotional plea to her son. “Please ask for help because we want you home.”
