Lubbock Fire Rescue and the Lubbock Police Department closed off a section of Broadway Avenue Wednesday afternoon around 5:30.
They were alerted when a window on the top floor of the Wells Fargo building was broken.
Workers were asked to remain in the building for about half an hour to make sure the area was safe. Officials said no one on the ground or in the building was injured.
Firefighters made their way to the top floor to make sure all the broken glass was secured. They said they do not know what caused the window to break.
The road and building were back open about an hour later.
