The West Texas Running Club presents the Bobby Birdsong Memorial Race, named in memory of Bobby Birdsong as a tribute to this dedicated Levelland High School biology teacher. Bobby was the first Race Director of the Levelland Lope in 1980 and served in this capacity through 1988.

The event features a 2 Mile and 10K (6.2 Miles) race. Both races offer a flat, out and back course, which makes this a great race to strive for a PR (Personal Record). Medals will be awarded for Overall Male and Female winners and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers, male and female, in each age group.

The minimum age for the 2 Mile is 7 years old and the minimum for the 10K is 13 years old per the WTRC Children’s Running Policy. 

WHEN: Saturday, June 13, 2015
8:00 a.m. start time for 2 Mile and 10K.

WHERE: Silent Wings Museum Parking Lot, 6202 Interstate 27 Frontage, Lubbock, Texas

WHAT: 2 Mile and 10K – *Minimum ages: 7 yrs. to run 2 Mile and 13 yrs. to run 10K
