The Silent Wings Museum in Lubbock, Texas will commemorate the seventy-second anniversary of D-Day on Saturday, June 4, Sunday, June 5 and Monday, June 6 with a free three-day event honoring the great sacrifices made by the Allied Forces on the shores of Normandy, France during a critical period in the second World War in Europe.
Activities include screenings of the documentary D-Day Remembered, fly-ins of the Greatest Generation’s C-47, Southern Cross and other small vintage aircraft and we will have vintage military vehicles on display, all weather permitting. Enjoy children’s educational activities, live music (Saturday), a guest speaker (Sunday) and much more. There will be something for all ages during this family-friendly weekend. Please join us!
