The Silent Wings Museum in Lubbock, Texas will commemorate the seventy-first anniversary of D-Day on Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7 with a free two-day event honoring the great sacrifice made by the Allied forces on the shores of Normandy, France during a critical moment in the War in Europe.

There will be opportunities to view the documentary D-Day Remembered, Greatest Generation’s C-47, Southern Cross, Commemorative Air Force’s C-60, Good Time Gal, and military vehicles. There will be children’s educational activities.

Saturday, June 6th
Museum Hours: Saturday, June 6, from 10 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

10:00am Museum opens to the public
     C-60 Good Time Gal flies in weather permitting
     C-47 Southern Cross flies in weather permitting
     Salvation Army will provide donuts & coffee
     US 1st Infantry Division Living History Group available
     Ricky’s Auto Repair’s military vehicles
     Self-Guided Tours
     Educational Children’s Activities (available all day)
10:30am Showing of Documentary, D-Day Remembered (replays every hour)
