After several months of a cooperative investigation between the DEA, Scurry County District Attorney’s Office, Scurry County Sheriff’s Department and the Snyder Police led to the filing of multiple criminal cases being filed and arrest warrants being issued for 19 individuals for Delivery of a Controlled Substance and the issuance to 2 search warrants.
On Thursday May 28th, 2015 the DEA, Texas Department of Public Safety SWAT Team and their Special Response Team, the Scurry County District Attorney’s Office Investigator, the Scurry County Sheriff’s Department and the Snyder Police Department executed two search warrants on two residences related to the drug investigations.
One residence was located in the 3100 Block of 41st and the second residence was located in the 400 Block of 35th, both locations were within the city limits of Snyder, Texas. The search resulted in the collection of drug related evidence and the recovery of a stolen travel trailer. After the execution of the search warrants, 11 arrest warrants on the individuals identified in the course of this investigation were served.
There are still outstanding warrants for other individuals that have been identified and other warrants will be issued upon receiving pending lab results. One other individual that is a subject of this investigation was taken into custody for unrelated misdemeanor charges. This investigation will continue.
