The Snyder Police Department and the Texas Rangers are continuing the investigation into the death of two male subjects that occurred here in Snyder, Texas on Sunday January 24th, 2016 at about 4:00am in the 2100 Block of Avenue Z. An autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday in Lubbock, TX. The male subjects have been positively identified as, 29 years old, Benjamyn Leslee Bruns of Victoria, Texas and 25 year old, Joshua David Hoover of Snyder, Texas. At the time of this release no information from the preliminary autopsy report was available.
Some questions have been asked as to if there was anyone else thought to be involved in this incident? At this time there is no indication that anyone else is involved in this incident other than those already identified in the press releases.
It was asked if the weapons used in this incident were recovered? Yes they have been recovered. One hand gun and three knives were recovered at the scene.
At this time this continues to be an ongoing investigation. More information will be released at such time that it becomes available. When information does become available and it can be release[d] without interfering with the course of the investigation a press released will be completed and made available.
