The Snyder Volunteer Fire Department asked the public for help following the theft of their firefighting gear Monday.
According to a post on the Snyder Volunteer Fire Department Facebook page, someone stopped and stole $1800 worth of firefighting gear from a volunteer firefighter’s pickup.
Fire crews were busy battling several grass fires at the time just north of Huffman Avenue on U.S. Highway 84.
The white pickup was sitting in a ditch at time of the theft.
