The Lubbock Police Department is searching for the suspect who robbed a convenience store at gunpoint early Saturday morning.
The incident occurred around 4:15 a.m. in the 1100 block of Southeast Loop 289 at the Valero.
Lubbock Police told EverythingLubbock.com the suspect entered the store while the sales clerk was in a back room. The suspect then proceeded to steal cash from the front register and cigarettes.
When the store clerk returned to the front of the store, the suspect pointed a gun at the employee.
The suspect then fled the scene on foot and was reported to be heading west.
The suspect was described as possibly a Hispanic male, between 5’3″ and 5’6″ tall and weighing about 130 pounds. Police said the suspect was wearing a dark blue hoodie, blue jeans and what appeared to be a Halloween mask.
