The Arizona Highway Patrol released new information Tuesday concerning the deadly crash of a Dallas Cowboys bus on Sunday. The bus and a van collided near Kingman.
All four fatalities were people in the van. There were no serious injuries among the people on the Cowboys bus.
The highway patrol said the driver of the van failed to yield the right of way, and the Cowboys bus hit the van.
The four victims have been identified as Chinese National Citizens that were visiting the United States. Next of kin had not been notified as of the most recent update from the highway patrol.
Among those on the bus was reporter Mickey Spagnola. Spagnola had high praise for the driver of the bus, Emory Tyler.
Spagnola said, “I can’t emphasize enough what a brave guy he was to sit in that seat with the windshield cracking, glass flying in his face, and he brought the bus to a stop.”
Spagnola said Tyler prevented the bus from rolling over.
“Cause I just knew we were gonna roll over,” Spagnola said.
Spagnola said, “There were four other people involved in this that perished in that car, and it’s just so heartbreaking.”

In addition to Spagnola and Tyler, there were two other people on the bus. It was on a tour of different cities on the way from Dallas to the Cowboys training camp in California.
