The Texas Department of Public Safety reported Sunday a Dickens County man was killed in a three vehicle accident in Stonewall County Friday afternoon.
The accident occurred just after 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 83 and U.S. Highway 380 near Aspermont.
According to the DPS, a semi-truck was stopped in the eastbound lane of U.S. Highway 380 waiting to make a left hand turn onto U.S. Highway 83.
A Toyota pickup truck was stopped behind the fracturing pump of the semi-truck.
Authorities said a second semi-truck then crashed into the back of the pickup truck, pushing it into the first semi-truck.
The pickup truck then caught on fire. The driver was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The DPS identified the victim as Stephen Lloyd Fitts, 69 of Spur.
Both semi-truck drivers were transported to Apermont Memorial Hospital.
The DPS report stated the driver of the first semi-truck suffered serious, incapacitating injuries. The second semi-truck driver was treated and released.
The crash remains under investigation.
