The Texas Department of Public Safety seized 133 pounds of marijuana Tuesday, after a Trooper stopped a vehicle in Carson County.
At 7:56 p.m., a DPS Trooper stopped a 2016 Ford RV traveling east on I-40 near Conway, for a traffic violation.
Officials say the Trooper discovered six large trash bags containing multiple vacuum-sealed packages of marijuana in the rear room of the RV. The illegal drugs are worth approximately $807,000.
The driver – Yi Zheng, 34, of El Monte, California – and passenger – Zaihao Yu, 26, of Temple City, California, were arrested and charged with felony possession of marijuana. Zheng and Yu were transported and booked into the Carson County jail.
The drugs allegedly were being transported from San Gabriel, California to Atlanta.
