An Abilene man accused of uploading and circulating an explicit picture of an underage girl on Snapchat has been indicted.
Holden Gonzales, 18, arrested in September of 2017, was indicted Thursday for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. He is also being investigated for Possession or Promotion of Child Pornography, according to a search warrant.
The search warrant, which was filed for Gonzales’ Snapchat records, states he traveled to a home in Abilene to engage in sexual activity with a 13-year-old girl in June of 2017, during which time he “did take a photograph of the 13-year-old female while she was laying on the bed wearing only her underwear and her breasts exposed.”
When the girl asked him about the picture, he stated it was only for ‘memories,’ according to the search warrant, which states that in August of 2017, a family member of the girl learned the picture had surfaced on Snapchat, so she reported the incident to police.
During an interview with detectives, the search warrant states the girl told police she saw pictures and videos on Gonzales’ phone of him engaging in sexual activity with other females who have yet-to-be identified.
Court documents state the girl admitted to engaging in sexual activity with Gonzales.
