An Abilene mother was arrested after she admitted to smoking meth around her 4-year-old son.

Brandi Gray, 39, was arrested and charged with Endangering a Child, AM Theft, Possession of Meth in a Drug-Free Zone, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Oxycodone), Possession of a Dangerous Drug, and Possession of Marijuana after a search warrant was executed at her home Wednesday.

During the search warrant execution, officers found $800 worth of stolen property, 4 oxycodone pills, 21 white long Serequil pills, 26 small pink Serequil pills, 5 700 mg Serequil pills, 6 marked Serequil pills, 29 and 1/5 Trazadone pills, 168 Prazosin capsules, a useable amount of methamphetamine, and a usable amount of marijuana, according to an arrest report. 

The arrest report states, “her four-year-old son was present in the residence while def smoked meth by her own admission.”

The meth was also discovered lying on the bed, in a position easy for the child to access. 

Gray is being held in the Taylor County Jail on bonds totaling more than $30,000.
