The Amarillo Police Department Traffic Follow Up Unit continues the investigation into the vehicle accident that left two people dead on Wednesday morning.
Investigators say the suspect, Adam Christian Banbury, 19, purchased alcohol at a local convenience store and had been served alcohol at two local on-site consumption locations.
Officials say this information has been shared with other agencies and the Traffic Follow Up Unit is following up with these businesses to determine how the transactions occurred.

The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code 106.03 states that a person commits an offense if they sell an alcoholic beverage to a minor.
This offense is a Class A Misdemeanor and is punishable by a fine not to exceed $4,000 and confinement in jail for a term not to exceed one year or both.
