AMBER ALERT issued for missing Texas toddler

An AMBER ALERT has been issued for a Texas toddler who went missing early Friday morning.

(Update: @TX_Alerts said the alert has been discontinued.) 


According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the alert was issued for Amia Blanton, 2, who was last seen in Mesquite.

Authorities believe the child is with Letiva Grant, 47, the child’s grandmother.

Blanton has brown hair and brown eyes. She stands 2’2″ abd weighs about 40 pounds. She was last seen wearing a pink and green Nike jacket, green sweatpants and brown boots with fur lining. She has a scar on her right eyebrow.

The suspect has black and blonde hair, with brown eyes. She stands 5’5″, and weighs 176 pounds. Police say her hair was braided and she was last seen wearing a gray jacket with black pants.

The suspect vehicle is described as a 2016 white Nissan Versa with a Texas license pklate: GWK2818.
