HEWITT, Texas (KXAN) — A 1-year-old girl who fell into the pool on Monday has died.
Mira Grace McCollum fell into the pool when her father left her and three other children unattended to check on food in the kitchen, according to KWKT.
The girl’s 7-year-old sibling jumped into the pool to try and save her at the home on Hillside Drive in Hewitt, just south of Waco.
“I need an ambulance, my baby fell in the pool and isn’t breathing!” the girl’s mother said during the 911 call.
The toddler died after being on life support since the accident.
A fundraising page has been set up to help cover medical expenses and the cost of a funeral.
