ODESSA, Texas — An earthquake was reported north of Odessa late Sunday night, according to the US Geological Survey. Then, Monday morning, a second earthquake was reported less than seven miles southwest of Pecos. It was a 2.9 magnitude quake just before 6:00 am.

The USGS report showed the Odessa earthquake was 3.0 magnitude and occurred just more than seven miles northeast of Odessa.

People in the area reported feeling the Odessa quake. So far, there are no reports of damage. Some folks in the area reported on social media that items were knocked off shelves.
