If you want to see country music legend George Strait in Texas in 2019, the only place you’ll be able to catch him is at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
On Tuesday, RODEOHOUSTON announced Strait will be closing out the 2019 line up on Sunday, March 17, marking his 30th appearance at RODEOHOUSTON.
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo says Strait’s show will be his only Texas performance that year. There will also be no rodeo performance prior to his show.
This summer, Strait is playing an exclusive “STRAIT TEXAS” show at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin on June 3. General admission tickets have already sold out, but there are platinum seats still available. The “King of Country” will also make appearances this year in New Orleans, Tulsa and Las Vegas.
The remaining 2019 rodeo entertainment lineup will be announced in January. The 2019 Rodeo runs from Feb. 25-March 17.
Fans lined up to get tickets to the rodeo this year when Garth Brooks announced he was performing.
