Tejano singer Jimmy Gonzalez of the band Grupo Mazz has died, a record label spokesperson confirmed Wednesday.

According to the spokesperson, Gonzalez was found by his son, Jimmy Gonzalez Jr at a home in San Antonio.

KIII-TV reports the Tejano singer was admitted to a local San Antonio hospital after his blood sugar level dropped and family members said he died around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Jimmy Gonzalez was a Grammy Award-winning artist. In 2003 at the 46th Annual Grammy Awards, Jimmy Gonzalez y el Grupo Mazz won Best Tejano Album for “Si Me Faltas Tu.”

The Brownsville, Texas native was also nominated at the 43rd Annual Grammy Awards in 2000 for Best Tejano Album “Quien Iva A Pensar.”

Gonzalez was 67.
