The following is a news release from the Hobbs Police Department:
On March 17, 2018 at approximately 8:25 p.m., officers with the Hobbs Police Department and deputies from the Lea County Sheriff’s Department responded to the 1700 block of East Marland in reference to a call of a person who had been shot. Upon their arrival, they found 29-year-old, Yvonne Villalobos, of Hobbs, unresponsive suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Hobbs Fire Department EMS responded and transported Villalobos to Lea Regional Medical Center. Despite life saving measures, Villalobos later died at Lea Regional Medical.
The Hobbs Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating two persons of interest, 36-year-old, Jose Acosta, of Hobbs, and 35-year-old, Angel Beaza, also of Hobbs.
