Stover was discovered a short distance from her vehicle on the ground, according to the release. Her body appeared to have been there for a few days.
Investigators believe Stover was driving through the unfamiliar area and became lost, later exiting her vehicle and eventually succumbing to the elements, according to the release. Stover suffered from dementia.
The Taylor County Sheriff’s Office initially responded to the scene, and then called in the Abilene Police Department to help with identification, according to the release. No foul play is being suspected at this time.
