The parents accused of prostituting their 7-year-old daughter pleaded not guilty Friday.

Teri Sanchez and James Stewart are accused of abusing their young daughter and making her perform sex acts with men for drugs.

The accusations came to light when a teacher from the girl’s school sounded the alarm.

The teacher said a 7-year-old girl missed school a lot and often made strange comments like, “Mom and I hustle.”

A nurse reported the girl showed up to school dirty and smelled of urine. A teacher took her to the bathroom to change and found dried blood in her underwear, and believed she had been sexually assaulted.

Sanchez is facing child abuse charges and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Stewart is facing human trafficking, molestation and child abuse charges along with promoting prostitution.

The two are being held until trial.
