Sheppard Air Force Base officials said a T-6 Texan II plane crashed Wednesday shortly before 2:00 p.m. near Lake Waurika, Oklahoma.
“Initial indications are that the pilot and co-pilot ejected safely,” SAFB said. Later, it was confirmed there were no injuries.
The aircraft was performing a pilot instructor training mission at the time of the accident.
Officials asked that anyone who finds debris related to the accident please contact the Sheppard AFB Command Post at 940-676-2616.
