On June 10, 2017 around 5:09 p.m., a New Mexico State Police uniformed officer conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Pennsylvania and Second Street in Roswell, NM.

The officer immediately noticed clues of intoxication that warranted follow up investigation. The driver, Mr. Ram Molina (45) of Roswell, NM. Agreed to perform standardized field sobriety tests, the officer observed numerous signs of impairment indicating Mr. Molina was unable to safely operate a vehicle, Mr. Molina was placed under arrest for DWI.  Mr. Molina later submitted to a breath test revealing a breath alcohol content of .28, .29.

The officer then discovered that Mr. Molina had four prior DWI arrests. 

Mr. Molina was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs (5th offense), Driving on a revoked license, and failure to stop.

Mr. Molina was booked into the Chavez County Detention Center.
