An Abilene man has been arrested in connection to 8 “dine and dash” incidents over the past 2 months.
Hamza Labidi, 29, was booked into jail for the most recent charge, robbery, on Tuesday.
A report filed with the Abilene Police Department says Labidi is accused of pushing an employee out of the way after refusing to pay at a food establishment on S. 14th Street. He fled the scene and was arrested later that afternoon, according to the report.
Online jail records show Labidi has been charged with “theft of service” in Taylor County 7 times since mid-March.
Police told KTAB and KRBC the charges are related to incidents where Labidi refused to pay for service at restaurants, cafes, cab companies, and other businesses around Abilene.
Labidi is currently being held in the Taylor County Jail on a $20,000 bond for the Robbery charge.
