In a report from U-Haul released on Wednesday, Texas remained the top state for growth.  The report utilized U-Haul data to analyze U.S. migration trends for 2018.

According to U-Haul, a growth state is determined by a net gain of one-way U-Haul trucks entering a state versus leaving during a calendar year.

Some of the top Texas cities mentioned by U-haul were Spring, McKinney, Katy, Kaufman, Pflugerville, Round Rock and New Braunfels. Other notable cities from the report were Lubbock, Pharr, Brownsville, El Paso, Irving and Arlington.

In Texas, arrivals of one-way U-Haul trucks went up 5 percent while departures went up 6 percent compared to data from 2017, as reported by U-Haul. However, despite a increase in departures, arrivals to the state accounted for 50.2 percent of all one-way U-Haul traffic in Texas.

As stated in the report, this marks the third consecutive year for Texas to top the list of U-Haul’s Growth States.
