The Abilene Police Department provided information Saturday about an overnight shooting at the Civic Plaza hotel in downtown Abilene.
According to Sergeant Lynn Beard, police received multiple reports of shots between 12:30 a.m. and 1:00 a.m.
An officer on patrol nearby responded immediately to the reports at the Civic Plaza. The officer began to search for any injured people and saw a maroon Chevy Impala driving away.
The officer made a traffic stop, and two men were arrested. David Jordan and Jaucorian Davis were taken into custody and a .380 caliber stolen firearm was recovered.
Police were told that during a large party at the hotel, money was stolen which led to an altercation. That in turn led to shots fired.
One person was treated and released from Hendrick Medical Center after getting struck in the leg.
Officers say one more suspect involved in the shooting was still at large.
