An Amber Alert continues for a missing 3-year-old girl from Richardson, Texas.
Sherin Mathews as last seen by her father outside the family’s backyard in the 900 block of Sunningdale, according to the Richardson Police Department.
She is approximately 36″ tall and weighs about 22 pounds.
She was last seen wearing a pink top, black pajama bottoms and pink flip flops.
Richardson Police said the child suffers from developmental issues and has limited verbal communication skills.
Authorities issued the statewide Amber Alert on Saturday afternoon.
Richardson Police announced Saturday evening at Wesley Mathews, the father of the missing child, had been arrested and was charged with abandoning or endangering a child.
According to WFAA-TV in Dallas, the arrest affidavit stated the father told police during an interview he told the child to stand outside near a large tree around 3:00 a.m. as punishment for not drinking her milk.
