Previous Story:

The Lubbock County Medical Examiner released a statement Thursday concerning the death of Holli Jeffcoat who had been identified as a student with special needs.  She was found murdered in a home in Northeast Lubbock County.

From the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner

Holli Jeffcoat, 18 years of age, was discovered deceased on February 10, 2016. The Cause of Death is Sharp Force Injuries. The Manner of Death is classified as Homicide.

As of Thursday no arrest had been made in the case.  Court records from 2008 indicated Jeffcoat was the victim of sexual abuse when she was age 10.  Children’s Protective Services was unable to prove who had abused her.

More recent court records said Jeffcoat made an outcry of sexual abuse in late January.  She named a specific man as having abused her.  Because he has not been charged with her murder or with sexual abuse, EverythingLubbock.com has chosen to not yet publish the name.

In February, Jeffcoat’s younger sister was taken by CPS and placed into foster care for her own protection.
