Twelve years ago today, police officers responded to one of Lubbock’s most violent and gruesome murders. Tammie Cooper, 45, and her three young children were discovered brutally murdered inside their home at 512 N. MLK Boulevard.

On October 25, 2004, a family friend came to the house to pick up 9-year-old twin boys Kandiece and Kasheem Allen and 11-year-old Mohogany Allen to take them to school. After entering the home, he discovered their bodies and called 911. Investigators believe Ms. Cooper knew the attacker, and evidence shows she fought back.

Ms. Cooper and her family are originally from Dallas and were known to frequently visit family and friends in the area. Investigators hope someone in the Dallas area might have additional information about Ms. Cooper’s past relationships and acquaintances.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Line at 806-741-1000. Callers can remain anonymous.
