Update:
The suspect accused of hitting a 7-year-old boy over the weekend in Andrews has been arrested, according to APD Chief Ronny McCarver.
Margarita Victoria Tobon was arrested in connection with the investigation Sunday, according to an update from the Department.
Tobon was located in Odessa with help from the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Texas Rangers.
She has been charged with fail to comply with duties following accident involving injury, a third-degree-felony.
The child who was reportedly hit is now listed in stable condition.
Police say the crash occurred at about 1:15 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of South Main and Avenue E.

The Andrews Police Department reports a 7-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle Sunday afternoon. The driver fled the scene following the accident.
Below is a news release from the Andrews Police Department:
“The Andrews Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance identifying the individual driving the vehicle involved in a hit and run vehicle / bicycle accident involving a 7 year old male which occurred around 1:15 pm 3/26/2017 at the intersection of South Main and Ave E, Andrews, Texas. After the accident the driver of the vehicle involved exited the vehicle and walked back to the injured child before returning to the vehicle and leaving the scene. The vehicle is believed to be a 2014-2016 white Nissan Altima or Maxima four door passenger car with front right damage to the hood and grill.
