Keith Chaplin, 40, was indicted for Aggravated Assault with Bodily Injury and a Deadly Weapon by a grand jury Tuesday.

The indictment comes almost two months since he was arrested after a shooting in East Lubbock County on August 19.

The Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office said the August shooting appeared to have “stemmed from a civil disagreement between the victim and Chaplin, and is still under investigation.”

LSO said the victim was shot in the hand and Chaplin was shot in the leg. Neither was seriously hurt.
