Owner of Wildcat Manufacturing Company Leighton Knox said he’s been a builder all of his life. One day he thought it would be a good idea to build something to share with his community.

Over the course of a year, Knox and Wildcat welder Mark Renteria built the seventy-five foot train. They said it can carry up to sixty-people at a time and it’s completely free.

Last Christmas, Knox said they hauled over one thousand kids. Five thousand people for 2015, overall.

Knox said they drive the train around Lubbock, Tahoka, Slaton, O’ Donald, and other surrounding areas on special occasions.

Their next stop is the O’ Donald Rodeo Parade and the Tahoka Homecoming festival.
