Are you a fan of South Plains politics? Here are your Talking Points for this week.

Tuesday is the big day here in Lubbock and across the nation as we elect the 45th President of the United States. Will Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton be America’s next leader?

The search for the next city manager continues here in Lubbock. The list of candidates has been narrowed down. Councilwoman Karen Gibson will stop by the show and give us an update on the search and the finalists.

Are you a fan of “Mean Tweets” segment on Jimmy Kimmel Live that airs weeknights on KAMC? The usual targets of those mean tweets are celebrities, musicians and of course politicians. A tweet that showed up last week on Texas Agricultural Commissioner Sid Miller’s account is leaving a sour note with some people. The tweet made a reference to Hillary Clinton using a derogatory term. The tweet was quickly deleted. Miller said his account had been hacked, but later said someone on his staff didn’t pay enough attention to what they were retweeting. Regardless, there’s a bigger problem with this than just decorum.

Talking Points with Bryan Mudd airs each Sunday morning at 11:30 a.m. and Sunday evenings at 11:05 p.m.
