The Soroptimist International of Plainview is hosting a Taste of Texas Wine Tour on Feb. 25 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
This event will feature a flags of Texas theme with five stations: Mexico, Spain, France, Confederate and Texas. The food and wine will reflect the area at each station.
They will feature wineries mostly from Texas such as Llano Estacado Winery, Messina Hof Winery, McPherson Cellars, Pheasant Ridge Winery and Trilogy Cellars. There will be live music from acoustic guitarist Chis Styne from Wayland Baptist University.
The proceeds from the project will benefit the Soroptimist organization that provides education grants for women heads of household bettering their lives; a fifth grade girls’ mentoring program in Plainview; education mini-grants for local teachers, and service to local entities that serve to improve the lives of women and children.
