The Sorghum Checkoff recently named Elisa Taylor as the organization’s communications manager. Taylor takes the place of Michelle Macha.
In this role, Taylor will provide and implement strategic communications planning for all non-consumer program areas such as crop improvement, agronomy and renewables. Taylor will also assist in other related organizational programs and projects for the Sorghum Checkoff.
“We are excited to welcome Elisa to the Sorghum Checkoff team,” said Jennifer Blackburn, Sorghum Checkoff external affairs director. “Elisa brings great passion for the industry along with her widespread communications background and experience, which will help further our communications efforts.”
Taylor will graduate in December with her master’s degree in interdisciplinary studies, where her areas of focus are business administration, agricultural communications and editing. Taylor received her bachelor’s degree in technical communication from Texas Tech University in December 2014. She gained her communications experience through internships with National Instruments, Lubbock’sHome and Family Magazine, the Texas Tech University yearbook La Ventana and the Fraternity & Sorority Life office. Taylor joined the staff November 29, 2016.
