The Team Luke Foundation is continuing to empower people 23 months after Luke Siegel’s accident. The foundation has accumulated over $150,000 after beginning in January 2017.
“The only way I could go forward is to start this foundation, and it’s given me my life back a little bit for sure,” Tim Siegel said. “And as difficult as this is every single minute of every day for me being able to help families, being able to give back whether it’s emotionally or financially for the families that have suffered traumatic brain injuries…that’s my life now.”
The tennis community continues to support Luke Siegel as well as world class celebrities like Roger Federer and Drew Brees.
Siegel explained the support from everyone means more than he can put into words and helps get the foundation’s name out there.
“Certainly it’s about Luke, but it’s really to me as much about the families that I can help and to get the word out is the most important thing,” Siegel said.
There will be a fundraiser for Team Luke at Cantina Laredo on W. Loop 289 at 6:30. Texas Tech coaches will come out to be your waiter for the night. Siegel added Josh Abbott will be making an appearance as well.
