#19 Texas Tech(21-9) put their 10-1 loss from Tuesday night behind them, as the Red Raiders took down #5 Florida State on Wednesday, 8-4.
The win gives Tim Tadlock’s squad a 5-5 record vs ranked opponents on the season.
Tech was the beneficiary of early offense, posting a five-run first inning.
Stephen Smith, Tanner Gardner, and Michael Smith all posted a multi-hit game in the win.
Starter Ty Damon only allowed two earned runs on three hits in 3 1/3 innings.
The Red Raiders are now 4-2 versus top-10 teams.
Tech will not head to Oklahoma State for a three-game set against the Cowboys, starting on Friday at 6pm.
