Tax Applications
Taxes are due on April 18th, that’s a week away. If you still haven’t filed you still have time. And if you are someone that likes to save money by doing your own taxes there are many ways to do it yourself.
But for those on the go, you can use applications. Of course the Internal Revenue Service is helping people file by providing an app, IRS2GO. The app provides any help you may need and also helps you keep track of your return.
If you’ve used Turbo Tax or H & R Block before both of the companies have a do it yourself apps to help you file.
But if you like the one-on-one with an accountant you should try Schwingo, the application gives you a quote and allows you to meet with an accountant before submitting your e-file. The best part it’s all done on the app so you don’t have to take time out of your busy schedule to meet face-to-face with the assigned accountant.
Taxfyle is another app that can match you with a licensed tax professional, upload your documents, chat and follow your filing all through the app. The process through them takes on an average of 45-minutes.
Whichever, company you pick remember to file before the 18th.
Could Robots Take Over?
A Dallas lawn care startup company, Robin, is providing a service done by robots.
The machines work like a Roomba, minding a wired fence. “When the robot is approching your flower beds or the street, it knows it is coming close to the wire, so it won’t run into the street” says Robin Co-Founder Bart Lomont.
The services cost $99 for a month for the mower only, if a job was required to be done by a human, like edging and weeding, the price would go up.
A new way to keep up with the Jetsons-esque technology.
