Ever find yourself at the grocery store, searching for the shortest line? Well, Amazon is currently running a test for a grocery store without lines.
The web giant is running a store for their Seattle employees, where they are able to check in as they enter the store using the ‘Amazon Go’ app. They are able to go in and shop around and when they are done they can just walk out.
No, the products aren’t free, they are actually being charged for the each item they are getting. Amazon is keeping track of what they are purchasing by using advance sensor technology, charging the customer automatically. Following the testing period, Amazon plans on opening many more line free store to the public sometime next year.
Headphones are getting to be more and more popular for kids. With the different styles, brighter colors and noise canceling features, it’s hard for kids not to ask for them.
But there’s a study suggesting that one in five teens now suffer some hearing loss and some doctors are blaming headphones. There are some headphones claiming that they contain volume control and do not pass 85dB (decibels), which is as loud as a blender.
However in a report, done by The Wirecutter, showed that some “got as loud as a chainsaw.” Lauren Dragan, editor for The Wirecutter, says there isn’t a governing board that oversees this issue.
Even the few pairs that come with volume limitations, many kids are able to take them off without their parents noticing.
The next time you are planning on buying you’re child the latest headphones, you might want to ask how high the decibel goes.
