Spectacles

Snap Inc. the company that brought you Snapchat is now releasing Spectacles online. Previously, the only way to get the Snapchat’s Spectacles were through yellow vending machines, Snapbot, that appeared unannounced in random cities for the time span of 24-hours.

Spectacles let you film snaps at the touch of a button. The videos are then saved to your Snapchat app that can later be edited and shared with your Snapchat friends. The sunglasses are priced at $129.99 dollars and are available now on spectacles.com. It can take two to four weeks for shipping. But Snap Inc. says Snapbot’s will still be popping up throughout the United States to sell the device.

Spectacles release could be seen as an effort for rebranding, as a camera company, weeks before Snap Inc.’s plans on going public in March.
