Chrysler will unveil  “Portal’ later this week at the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show. Portal is designed with selfie cameras built-in. This all-electric, self-driving, mini-van can travel an estimated 250-miles on a full battery charge.

Chrysler has installed facial and voice-recognition technology to help prevent theft. Portal has put an end to cries of, “Can we change the song?” with personal audio zones the driver and passengers who can each listen to their own music. And lastly, Chrysler provided ten charging ports in their new concept car.

Data asked to be released

Amazon’s Echo and Echo Dot where on everyone’s Christmas list this year. The personal assistant ‘Alexa’ designed to assist you from the moment you wake up until you go to sleep. The devices were made to deliver music, news, weather and keeping up with your schedule.

But Arkansas police think that ‘Alexa’ could have been a witness to murder. Bentonville Police is asking Amazon to release the data collected from ‘Alexa’ in the home of James Bates.

Bates is accused of killing his co-worker, Victor Collins, who was found dead in Bates’ hot tub after a night of partying. Bates plead not guilty.

Amazon’s device is supposed to record conversation. The prosecuting attorney wonders if it recorded anything relevant to the case that night. However, Kimberly Weber, defending attorney disagrees and says releasing the data is a “deep invasion of privacy.”

This case brings new laws for technology that runs 24-hours 7-days a week.
