A store in the mall is helping make wishes come true.

Oakley’s inside the South Plains mall closed early to let 14-year-old Jacob Castillo go on a shopping spree.
With a $500 budget Castillo chose the best sunglasses and outfits, anything his heart desired.

“That’s his thing he loves fashion,” said his mom Rosalinda Castillo.

Jacob recently returned from his wish to Hawaii, where his dream of seeing the ocean and leaving Lubbock came true.

“He wanted to see blue water. It was awesome, I could not get them out of the water. We went to see the dolphins, we also got to do the luau and he also went snorkeling,” said Rosalinda .

This is Oakley’s third year of helping make dreams come true. Jered Bowers said he loves meeting the kids, and helping them choose the perfect items.

“Basically what we did was give him the store all to himself. We gave him $500 he got to use in store for whatever his wish was,” said Bowers.

“He got a nice Big Kitchen, its one of our biggest bags. It’s a really nice utility bag. He got a couple shirts, a lanyard, and he got some glasses. He’s pretty much set,” said Bowers.

This is an experience Jacob’s mom won’t ever forget.

“It’s awesome, it touches me. I’m just so thankful that there’s people out there who contribute and do stuff like that. It put a smile on my kids face, it’s awesome,” said Rosalinda.
