WHAT:  Temporary closure of a section of 21st Street, between Joliet and Louisville avenues
WHEN:  Begins Friday (Dec. 2)
WHERE:  3500-3600 blocks of 21st Street

EVENT:  As part of the Keeping the Covenant project, a new skybridge is being constructed in the parking lot of Covenant’s Professional Office Building near 21st Street and Louisville Avenue. As a result, the current valet drive and entrance will be closed. The dismissal drive-around and entrance, and west skybridge, will remain open during this time. On Friday, valet will temporarily relocate to the physician parking lot located on the corner of 21st and Louisville. Also, the south side of 21st Street will remain open for pedestrian traffic. During this closure, visitors are encouraged to access the hospital by using the east sky bridge.

The Keeping the Covenant project includes major renovations of current facilities, new construction and technology upgrades. Slated to be completed in five to seven years, Keeping the Covenant includes expansion and renovation of the Joe Arrington Cancer Center, Covenant Medical Center and Covenant Women’s and Children’s.
